SWAAD Indisches Restaurant in Frankfurt

Short answer - not terrible, but, overpriced for the meager portion and I won't be back. One of the dishes I ordered was a vegetarian Chana Masala - at €12.50, a "main course" or "Hauptgericht". If unfamiliar, it's basically Chick Peas, a relatively cheap bean - in sauce. I counted - there were about 30 chickpeas in the entire meal. It was basically a bowl of sauce with a few chickpeas tossed in. Plus rice. I looked for a can of chickpeas to add to my dinner but we had none. The taste wasn't bad (wasn't the best, either) but I felt totally robbed. It should have been a full meal but was more a bowl of sauce with a few chickpeas tossed in and some rice. There are many Indian Restaurants nearby, No need to go back.

We have Lockdown Restaurant are closed (so you have a lot of time to cook and serve) to support us, we ordered from swaad. In return, we had burned Schicken Tekka, which was overpriced at first and thought least of the taste experience purely negative. as a butter chick specialist (as far as eating is concerned), worst butter chick !! papadam burned And worst Peshawari Naan not original (maybe homemade) but know completely different ingredients than Peshawari Naan (it was also dry) Conclusion: Dear Swaad Restaurant, we are trying to get through the lockdown situation together, so doing a favor simply gives you more effort when cooking etc. You have to learn to offer the Indian. some positive dessert top

Ordered to take away: service great, very polite and friendly. Unfortunately, the food was salty. Wouldn't order there again.

We were warmly welcomed with a mango liqueur shot ? A wonderful ambience and a very courteous team. The food is superb and the menu is varied. The small, fine details such as cloth napkins and preheated plates make the restaurant something very special. We liked it very much! We can warmly recommend the restaurant ?

By far the best Indian I've eaten at so far. Both the chicken and the fish are just amazingly tasty and tender. Service 1 +++ Courteous and friendly. We were greeted with a mango schnapps. I would give 6 stars if it worked. Price performance top! We'll be back and thank you for the wonderful evening.

Best Indian restaurant in Frankfurt...food ,service , decoration all excellent... recommend

Exceptional service and authentic Indian food! Best tandoori grill menu I know in all of Frankfurt. The staff is particularly pleasant and make the visit go beyond a gastronomical experience, bringing a touch of home for us desis in Frankfurt. I happened to visit two days in a row and was consistently WOW'ed with both the food and service. Everything was incredible but definitely a special recommendation for chicken achaari tikka for spicy food lovers. A 'desi salaad' on the side goes a long way and something I have missed with other Indian restaurants abroad, so thank you Team Swaad for maintaining the authenticity of a typical Indian dining experience. Special shoutout to Sandy and Sikander who were extremely warm and kind. They adjusted the food as per our spice levels and were extra generous and considerate with everything.

Swaad was our 4th Attempt of trying out Indian cuisine in Frankfurt and we hit the jackpot this time! The food is the closest you can get to authentic Indian food and the chef is also gracious to customize the taste according to your desire. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for Indian fine dining!

I liked the food very much. It's been a long time since I've eaten so well in India. You can taste top quality immediately. The chicken is very tender and the Indian bread is also very tasty. The service and the manager are incredibly polite and courteous. The atmosphere in and around the shop is nice and cozy. I will come again and can only recommend it to everyone. There is a good selection of dishes, so far we have had three different starters and main courses and they were all very tasty - you can taste the good quality of the dishes. The restaurant offers a nice ambience both inside and on the terrace. A very friendly and courteous team. Well suited for groups as well as a romantic evening for two. :-) Authentic Indian cuisine, I would be happy to recommend it and wish the restaurant continued success!

Finally a real Indian restaurant in Frankfurt. I live since 5 years in Frankfurt and tried many Indian restaurants. Swaad without any doubts serves very tasty dishes. The drink are big and also served in styled glasses. The dishes are made fresh and tasty. The location is very good and easy to reach (U4 Merianplatz). I wish success for this restaurant.
